The winter solstice is when we celebrate the longest night of the year. After this night, our days will have more light. This is a great time to reflect and to go inward before we go into the new year. It's also a great time to recognize our own light and our own shadows. In our modern culture, we tend to deem things good or bad, but we are equal parts light and darkness, and there is light within our darkness and within our shadows. When we can approach those shadows with great curiosity (on why we might do things a certain way or why we might be healing in a certain way), we have an opportunity to change our reality, to grow, and to evolve.
